As a handbag executive for Calvin Klein Global Design, I am exposed to the most amazing talent worldwide.  When I needed design support to launch a new division I had the good fortune to come across Mocha Projects.  Katie Morita and her amazing stable of designers were there for me every step of the way. When I needed research support, I had a research expert show up in the studio days later, when I needed sketches done, I had an illustrator step in immediately, when I needed entry level design support to do more basic tasks, Katie produced a young talent that did not break my budget. Katie is not only a savvy business woman but a tastemaker, a masterful partner and a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend Mocha Projects for all of the talent and broad expertise they bring to the table.

Katie is an incredibly talented, thorough and thoughtful designer, which is key when there are many tasks at hand and deadlines to be met. Katie is very diligent, and works incredibly well within a team structure and can wear many hats. She understands the ever changing needs of the business and adapts.  She is a joy to work with and a true asset to any organization.
— Stephanie von Watzdorf, Founder of Figue, former Vice President of Design, Tory Burch
Katie possesses an incredible balance of creativity, trend foresight and business acumen.  I completely trust Katie and her ability to guide her team in producing excellent design work (in both technical quality and taste level) as well as her ability to deliver to very tight timelines.  Katie is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend Mocha Projects for a wide variety of creative, trend and design needs.
— Rhonda Summer, Strategic Creative Director, Men's & Women's Softgoods at Burton
I have worked with Katie in a few capacities; along side her with the team at Tory Burch and later under her direction for Mocha Projects. I don’t think it’s possible to convey what a delight it is to work with or for Katie. She is extremely talented with an amazing taste level and awareness of the world; be it art, music, fashion, architecture or travel.  Aside from her talents both creative and business, she is by far one of the nicest, funniest, and most optimistic people I have met.
— Cameron Gardner, Freelance Designer
I have known Katie for the past 5 years, as a colleague at Uniqlo NY Design office as well as a friend. During that period I worked very closely with her in the office and on various research projects. During those times, Katie was solely responsible for launching the accessories division at Uniqlo NY Design Studio. Katie has demonstrated to me time and again that she is an exceptional communicator and a gifted designer. In my opinion, she is the perfect designer who has amazing aesthetics, technical skills as well as the merchandising brain. In spite of these formidable gifts, she is a humble and approachable person who has an amazing personality as well. I would always look forward to working with Katie. I highly recommend Katie - she is a team player and would be a great asset for any organization.
— Makiko Okada, Owner and President of Think, vision & Riot Inc. DBA Splendor Consulting

— Jeannine Umrigar, Director of Concept and Art, Land's End
In addition to the time Katie worked at Gap Inc. as Accessories Director she also worked with me on accessories at Uniqlo Design Studio.  She is one of the most creative, talented and detailed designers I have worked with. Her taste level as well as her own personal style plus a strong understanding of the accessories market make her an outstanding designer and director. She is also a lovely honest and easy person to work with. She has extensive technical skills as well and knows how to develop a collection overseas. She launched the Uniqlo accessories collection for the New York opening and it was highly successful. Her coordination of product with clothing and concept is a high priority. Her attention to all the details adds that extra touch that is so important. I highly recommend Katie in any project she pursues.
— Patti Barkin Camilli, Executive Consultant at LeSportsac, former Consultant for R&D, Uniqlo Design Studio, New York
I worked with Katie to streamline the gift with purchase program at Victoria’s Secret bringing it under the Design umbrella and getting it onto our core development calendar. Katie was fantastic partners and a prolific and creative designer. She managed to get 6 months of product done in about 2 months time and her contributions were instrumental to helping us get the division up and running. Her positive attitude throughout a rather intense process made her a joy to work with and the project more fun than tedious. I would highly recommend Mocha Projects.
